Many years before H. M. S. Richards died, the late J. R. Spangler sat down with the VOP founder in Richards' home library and asked him to reminisce about his life. Little, if any, editing was done and approximately five hours of recollections have been transferred to CDs. Richards talks about his parents, his education at Campion Academy and Washington Missionary College (now Washington Adventist University), his first and later evangelistic series, how he proposed to Mabel Eastman (who said Yes) . . . and on through the years. The interview wasn't scripted and some of the memories shared here are very candid. Richards also shares suggestions for memorizing Scripture, his daily study habits, his practice of reading the entire Bible several times a year, recommended books on varied subjects, and much more.
