HAROLD S MEMORIAL SERVICE CASSETTE

H. M. S. Richards founded the Voice of Prophecy broadcast on October 19, 1929. In 1960 his son, H. M. S. Richards Jr., was invited to join the Voice of Prophecy team to assist his father. Many times he commented on what a privilege it was to work side by side with his dad. Their roles were reversed in 1969 and father assisted son in the radio ministry until his death in April 1985. Harold put his heart and soul into the Voice of Prophecy, where he served as Director-Speaker from 1969 to 1992. After that he assisted our present Director-Speaker, Lonnie Melashenko, as Speaker-Emeritus.

H. M. S. Richards Jr. passed away on April 11, 2000 at the age of 70. The Bible's words about Barnabas apply very well to Harold: "For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord" (Acts 11:24, NKJV).

A memorial service was held at the Loma Linda University Seventh-day Adventist Church in California on Sunday, April 16, 2000. It featured loving trubutes from Lonnie Melashenko, Tony Anobile, Ralph Pueschel, Bill Loveless, Kirk Richards, Gordon Henderson, Lou Venden, Greg and Mary King, and Lance Liebelt. Musical reflections were provided by Del Delker, King's Heralds Quartet Alumni featuring Bob Edwards, John Thurber, Jerry Patton, Wayne Hooper, Jack Veazey, Jerry Dill, Jim McClintock and Jim Ayars; The Christian Edition, and Phil Draper. After listening to this cassette, you'll want to rededicate your life to the Lord. (Also available on video)
